Tornvertical - What is tornvertical? Tornvertical is a reminder in my everyday life that there is no longer separation between me and God because of what Christ did on the cross on my behalf. As Jesus died to make a way for the world to know God by His sacrifice "the veil was torn from top to bottom." The veil in the temple was the physical representation to the Jews that there had to be an intercessor between the people and God. The high priest had to make sacrifices on their behalf and be the people's representative to God. But, when Christ died, He made the ultimate sacrifice on the behalf of all people and became the new and the eternal intercessor between the world and God.
"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness, but one who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet, without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace so that we may receive mercy and find grace in time of need." Hebrews 4:14-16
Tornvertical is the reminder that there is a God that loves me, that cares about me, and that I have a daily audience with Him because of Jesus.
